The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT Exam) is used as a criteria by many business schools and other institutions for admission to MBA and other graduate management programs such as PGDBM, Master of Accountancy and Master of Finance. The test aims to assess the candidate’s analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English. GMAT scores are accepted by over 2,100 universities and institutions in more than 114 countries.   • Shiksha recommends that the candidates enroll for the GMAT Exam preparation course when in the 4thSemester of their program.
  • The recommended time to take the GMAT Exam is when the candidate is at the start of the 5thSemester in June (Especially for Fall intake) or in the 6th Semester
  • The GMAT score is valid for 5 years.


  • The GMAT is a Computer Adaptive Test that adapts to the examinee’s ability level.
  • The Quantitative and Verbal sections of the GMAT Exam are both based on multiple-choice questions.
  • GMAT is taken daily Monday-Friday (except Saturday and Sunday).
